Part I

You can visit Uncle David and Auntie when their friend Mitch is over. His car is a beauty!

When. you wake up in the morning and look out the window, it is bright and sunny! It is so nice to have the sun great you!!

You can catch up with how neighbor Mike’s home and yard redo is coming along.

You can take a quick drive to SLO and visit Sally Loo’s.

Their selection of dishes is creative and plentiful….

Everyone is friendly…..

And the coffee is fabulous!! Not to mention their in house made pastries. So delicious! Coffee and an Earl Grey Blueberry Scone-

Meanwhile, the Enterprise rental office did not feel comfortable renting you the car you have reserved because it has 31,000 miles on it ……so they do a courtesy upgrade. Little do they know 31,000 miles to us is hardly broken in!

Comes with a handsome doorman

You can go the back way to SLO… through eucalyptus trees….

Past farms and beaconing side roads…..

Charming vineyards ripening in the sun…..

Quaint farm roads….

All of which takes you into town.

You can. try this Specialty Ice Cream….delicious, small batch and thoughtful ingredients.

The building used to be run down and slightly dilapidated. They have done an amazing job and restoration and decor.

Even down to the special greeting on the front door mat.

They have flavors aplenty; all unique and tasty.

For example….

Roasted Strawberry on an in-house made cone.

Or Beehive in a cup! All enjoyed on the patio with seating either at a table or in the shade on benches.

After enjoying your refreshing ice cream, you can travel to Avila Beach to enjoy the ocean and the local residents.

A very proper sea gull.

There was debate on the identity. Is this an otter or a seal?

The lady on the pier, was quite confident is was an otter. Seems quite large for an otter?

And of course, you can greet all of your friends during your stroll. This is Misha, a 4 year old herding dog.

Not to be ignored is Walter! He is very friendly; and eats 4 pounds of food a day and sleeps in the bed with the owner and his wife.

This is Walter’s friend, Boomer, who never met a stranger.

If you love the area, you can purchase this cozy home right across the street from the sandy beach and breaking waves,,,,,as long as you drive a mini cooper or a low profile sports car!

And of course the real reason to visit Arroyo Grande is to stay in the John’s Bed and Breakfast. It is all inclusive and a delight.

For example, tonights meal was a savory and tender slow cooked roast with essence of salt, pepper, garlic and italian herbs.

But the best part is…….

the beautiful gardens and blooming flowers….

And you can walk outside at 9 :00 in the morning in shorts and flips and not be cold!!!
